    3. Cousins and Colleagues... I've encountered some conflicting information on which I'd greatly appreciate your help. William and Hannah (Knowles) Locke had born to them Patience Locke (1), 1710-1711. Jonathan and Sarah (Haines) Locke had born to them Patience Locke (2), February 10, 1729/30. Daniel and Mary (Unknown) Moulton had born to them Noah Moulton (1), February 23, 1704/05. Daniel and Phebe (Philbrick) Moulton had born to them Noah Moulton (2), November 14, 1726. Dow (Hist. Hampton, p. 865), Locke (Hist. Gen. Of Captain Locke, p. 14) and Parsons (Hist. Of Rye, p. 421) report that Patience (1) married Noah Moulton on November 16, 1749. Locke (p. 28) prefers to believe that this Noah is Noah (1) and not Noah (2); Parsons (p. 464) reports him as Noah (2); and Dow reports him as Noah (1). In contrast Austin (Moulton Family, p. AFDBE) has Noah (2) marrying Patience (2), but shows no marriage for Noah (1). Both Austin (p. AFDBE) and Locke (p. 28) list children for Noah and Patience, born over a range of 1751 to beyond 1763, a fact which casts doubt on this Patience being Patience (1). This is confounded further when Locke (p. 50) reports that Patience (2) married Benjamin Woodbridge, son of Benjamin and Mary (Osgood) Woodbridge. Though he also states that this couple had a daughter, Patience, in Andover, there is no record of this in the Andover VRs. He states that they moved to Milford, NH. My inclination is toward the Austin report as the more credible, but that does conflict with Dow, and it raises questions, too, about the Locke-Woodbridge marriage reported by Locke. However, there is clearly a lack of good documentation, and I seek your help with whatever information you may have. Thanks. Bill -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ William F.
