Is anyone working on the Page line in Rockingham? I'm still trying to solve the mystery of who John Knowles, s/o John & Jemima Asten/Austin, married--Susannah Lawrence or Susannah Page. I have Francis Page's will from NH's Probate Records/State Papers. The will, proved in 2 Dec 1706 (year after John Knowles died) names his wife Meribah, his children Joseph, Samuel, Francis, Rebeckah (apparently unmarried at that time), Lucy (m Ichabod Robey), Susanah (m Benjamin Bachelder), Meribah (m Samuel Tilton). Lucy & Ichabod's daughter Lucy is also named. Among the four witnesses, is Susanah Knowles. Francis Page was the s/o Robert Page & Lucy Ward; there were 4 children: Margaret, Susan/Susanah, Francis, and Hannah. I have Susan b 1631 and Francis 1633. Seems logical to think that the Susanah who witnessed his will would prob have been his sister.
