Dick: In reply to your advise, I'm an attorney, practicing law and also a genealogy hobbiest. My name, address and phone numbers are always freely available and I desire that they so be so people can contact me in the most convenient manner possible. I've had contacts by phone, e/mail and fax and mail. You'd be amazed at the number of faxes and mail. I understand your concern and maybe if I wasn't in business it would bother me. It really irritates me when people sent me messages with a coded e/mail, don't give their name and address and expect me to give them information. I'm in the information exchanging business and desire to help all persons who are interested in Things and Gilmans and Norrises and Dudleys and a few other more ancient ancestors from the Exeter NH area and hope that people who want information are willing to help me complete my descendant lists from Jonathan Thing the immigrant; Edward the immigrant Gilman, and the good old gov. Thomas Dudley. Actually, once I get a name and town I can usually get the other information, but this business about privacy really burns me as most people have nothing to be private about. Very truly to all E. Frederick C. Gain Attorney at Law 1731 So. Park St. P.O. Box 2307 Springfield, Ill. 62705-2307 ph 217-546-3115 fax 217-546-8606 ps: I've met many interesting people, am not concerned about burglars. I give visitors information and help.... and have a load of buckshot for any burglars. Although I don't live in New England, I've been to Epping several times (last month most recently) and find it a very delightful suburb of Exeter, NH, set in the pretty NH hills. Burglars would find several black bears, a few maine coon cats (Madelyn had a big one that obviously has engaged in several battles), and some friendly people.
