Hi Barbara, I was able to spend an afternoon at each location last August. While I was able to find information in the State Library, most of it was rather 'generic' -- at least for the families I was researching. On the other hand, the NH Historical Society was chocked full of 'goodies' (family genealogies, NEHGS Registers & the NH equivalent, town histories & vital records, and I believe periodicals on microfiche, though I didn't get to those -- all in one location) -- so much so, that I canceled other plans and returned to the Historical Society for another day of research! And still it wasn't enough time. I wasn't able to make it to New England this summer, but I hope to make another 'visit' next year. I can't wait! Best of luck wherever you decide.
