Cousins and Colleagues... Warren Ladd's book, p. 50, has Nathaniel Ladd of Epping marrying Polly Smith in 1782 with one of his children having been born June 6, 1786. The Epping Town Records (NHGR, 4:86) have Nathaniel Ladd and Dolly Smith beng married August 4, 1793. If the records are correct in both instances, this would suggest that there were two Nathaniel Ladds of about the same age marrying a Smith with given names that are frequently interchanged. The parents of the first Nathaniel were Paul and Mercy (Hilton) Ladd. Does anyone have information on the parents of the second Nathaniel? Any help greatly appreciated.
