Hey Y'all, Greetings from South Carolina. I am searching for information regarding my New England ancestors (I have a 'passel' of 'em) and it's next to impossible to find any books about New England in this part of the South (Charleston). The Library and the Historical Society here don't share my belief that folks down here would be interested in northern historical and genealogical books! But that's another issue! I am writing to this list in hopes someone can help me find info about George JAFFREY of Newcastle, Rockingham, NH. I descend from George 'the immigrant' through his son Hon. George JAFFREY, Chief Justice of New Hampshire (b. 11/22/1682 in Newcastle; d. 5/8/1742 in Portsmouth). He married Sarah JEFFRIES of Boston (my ancestor), and later Sarah Wentworth, daughter of John Wentworth, Lt. Governor of NH. Any information would be welcomed.
