I had 2 branches of my family in Exeter prior to 1650--namely Thomas WILSON and John WARREN. I am particularly interested in Thomas WILSON. He had the first mill in the town and was a local town officer. Thomas was a member of the Dorchester Company and had church problems in MA. He was ex-communicated from the church and removed to Exeter, may be with others that had the same religious views. My question: I am trying to determine if the Baptist religion was in existence in Exeter, prior to 1650? OR, what religion was practiced there in that time period? thanks, Charles
