    3. Firstly I'd like to again thank Pat Gregg for the info she sent me on my Montgomery/Cargill connection. Secondly, thanks to whomever it was that gave the tip about highlighting quoted text. It sure makes all the lists I subscribe to easier to go through! Further to the petition to Gov Shute Pat posted, the following is a site that has immigratant ship passenger lists. At this time it appears none of the five ships that landed at Boston on Aug 4th 1718 and s. Nutfield are listed. Anyway, it might help some of you and they're adding all the time so a bookmark might be in order. FROM ROOTSWEB Quote: THE IMMIGRANT SHIP TRANSCRIBERS GUILD (ISTG) IS GROWING BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS. When the guild began its work on September 16, 1998, there were 50 volunteers within a week. Now nearly 500 volunteers are transcribing ship passenger lists that will be posted on the ISTG Web site. The guild accepts new volunteers on a quarterly basis. The next group will be accepted in April, 1999, so if you are interested in joining at that time, please read the FAQ under Guild Information. More than 300 passenger lists are now posted at the Web site and new passenger lists are posted weekly. <http://istg.rootsweb.com> Unquote: Warren T.
