    1. Re: Your lines in Rockingham County NH
    2. Karen; I have scanned page 24 of the THURSTON GENEALOGIES compiled by Brown Thurston of Maine, [the 2nd edition published in 1892.] Are you related to either the Elizabeth Folsom who married my 5GGranduncle John or her mother, Hannah Gilman? Or are you related to Capt. Jeremiah Clough, who had command of the company "guarding and scouting at Canterbury" which my 5GGrandfather was in? Or are you related to Zoe Georgietta Young, b Dec. 28, 1852, a farmer's daughter of Lincolnville, Me. who walked across Penobscot bay on the ice in 1874, to the mainland, a distance of nearly 20 miles, accompanied by her husband , James Carrol Witherspoon and her uncle Wm. Thurston. and according to Brown Thurston, accomplishing what no other women did. (Ref. Pg. 107 in TG) Or are you related to Harriet Clough, b. in Strafford, Vt. 1828 Dau. of Anson and Sarah (Campbell) Clough, who married Erastus Henry Thurston, son of William and Clarissa (Church) Thurston on Jan. 11, 1852 in Chelsea, Vt. (Ref. Pg 321/322 in TG) I am interested in where Anson Clough got his name, as it has to pre-date the earliest recorded Anson in my line. The THURSTON and KIMBALL lines date from Newbury, Ma. in 1637 along with the MORSE, KELLY, GILMAN, KNIGHT, There is a lot of history in our parentage!!!! 24 THURSTON GENEALOGIES.
