One of my biggest helps was joining the New England Historic Genealogical Society, 101 Newbury St., Boston, MA 02116-3007 (617) 536-5740. They have a marvelous circulating library that as a member you can rent books from at a very reasonable rate. They have a web page but I don't know the URL at the moment. I live on the west coast and this organization & their lending library has been a goodsend for me throughout the years. I also think it's a good idea to join a genealogical society within the area you are interested it. Those two resources and an LDS library in your area and you should be able to find yourself capable of putting your New England line together. Of course the NH-Rockingham list is a big help also.
