Hi All: My understanding of the purpose of this mailing list is that it is intended to be a place for subscribers to post genealogical problems so that other subscribers can help them. In other words, it should consist of questions and answers. I don't wish to be the grinch who stole Christmas, but it does not seen to me that this mailing list is a suitable place to republish enmass the Danville Vital Records, or any other such material publishished or unpublished, except in response to particular questions from other list members. If we all started publishing the Rockingham County material we have at hand, the list would soon be clogged with unneeded and unwanted emails which, it seems to me, verge on being spam. Am I along in feeling this is a diversion, albeit well intentioned, from our real intent? Laird Towle
