Hi All: Cindy's comment got me thinking. Would it be useful to have a database that gave some specific information on family migrations in a format like the following? Surname Date From Co From State To County To State Gray c1780 Rockingham NH Caledonia VT By sorting such a database by surname and destination one might get useful clues as to a family's origins for tracing ancestry. Likewise, by sorting by surname and origin one would get a picture of how a family my have dispersed for tracing descendants. Any comments? Laird Towle
