Knollys was in Dover, NH ca 1638; he purchased property from Henry Jocelyn and later sold it to the General Court of MA before returning to England sometime after 1641. The descrip of the property is: (from "Old Kittery and Her Families") "...Beginning at the cove just above Franks Fort (that is a small island in the Piscataqua River) extending NW 240 rods and inland 580 rods or just half way to York River..." This parcel was known as the "Knowles Purchase." Can you NH researchers point me to a way to find a map of this property? A source for the deed or anything else that would be helpful.
