    3. Allan: I don't have the answer to your question, but maybe you have the answer to mine (an OLD, OLD one) -- was his mother a Kingsley (Kinsley)? I have no surname for her, but I can't think of any reason for giving a son that name other than that it was her family name. I haven't found any contemporary with that name for a first name, either. It has been a long time, and my memory isn't all that great, but I seem to recall finding some eligible Mary Kingsleys in Savage.
