    3. My LUCAS family was found almost by accident by a researcher tracking another line. Daniel LUCAS - no dates & wifeb Barbara - no dates daughter Jane LUCAS m Neal McGAFFEY 19 Dec 1727 Pembroke/Pembrook? Because her father initially opposed the marriage, Neal m Jane using the alias Andrew MILLER. Her father's will of 1733 (NH state papers 34:400-1, pg 10) includes, "I give unto my beloved Sonne be the Law Neall M'Gaghe and his wife Jean M'Gaghe, aless Luckas, my daughter, ten shillings and no more." Ref made to "John Bean of Exeter & his cousins" ppg 23, 29, 32 for family >From "Neal McGaffey of White Hall, Illinois, Paternal Ancestry & Descendants" by Laura McGaffey Clarenbach, 1980. Neal immigrated to the US abt 1720, bought land in Nottingham, NH (NH province deeds 30:331; was in Keenborough, Exeter, NH in 1747 and in Brentwood, NH in 1753.
