Thank you very much for checking this out. I know I saw two separate references to this graveyard. One said something like "It IS there", which indicates that someone else had also questioned whether or not it really is there. I don't have it in front of me, though, so don't remember exaclty what it said. There is a Towle-Cook connection [see below]. So that makes me wonder further. I recall from the census records that the David Cook entry was one of the last entries for Epping, which might indicate that they DID live in the outskirts. It would be interesting to try to determine where they lived. I believe the D. in David D. is for Davis. FYI, David's parents may not be recorded correctly, but this is what I have come up with. It is hard to find anything on my Cooks. We have wondered if our line might have been Quakers, since others in the family were, or were they Baptists? DAVID D.6 COOK (JOHN5, NATHANIEL4, NATHANIEL3, PETER DOWNES2, JOHN1)1 was born Abt. 1816 in Middleton, NH> Epping, Rockingham, NH2,3, and died 01 December 1890 in Brentwood, NH4. This is probably more than you care to know, but the following is the Cook-French connection that I KNOW of. There is some question as to whether or not I have this Hezekiah with the right parents too. He could be David's brother istead of son of Hezekiah [my Hezekiah]. We found more Cook children in Epping than the earlier census records indicate were there. I BELIEVE there was a widow Cook, possibly remarried, living in Epping whose children show up in later Epping as heads of household, ie. David D. & William D., for example. It has been an interesting puzzle, but frustrating too. Perhaps, if you take a look at this, you will stumble upon something regarding these families in Epping while doing your research. I hope to get back there this summer. Generation No. 1 1.
