Item #160455170 A fascinating collection of about 100 letters, documents and notes to and by Civil War General Gilman Marston mostly during the years following the war (the earliest piece dates from 1839). Marston was a practicing attorney, State Representative and U.S. Senator from New Hampshire during this period. This correspondence is mostly handwritten and gives insight into the legal and sometimes political matters of the day. This cache deserves further study.
