    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iQB.2ACE/702.1 Message Board Post: I can't help you with your 4 grandfather, but I did find the information on where to get a will from Rockingham County for you. Rockingham Probate Court 10 Route 125 Brentwood, NH 03833 Mailing Address : P.O. Box 789, Kingston, NH 03848 Judge : Hon. John R. Maher, Administrative Judge Register : Andrew Christie Jr. Phone : (603) 642-7117 Hours : Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm You should be able to call them to discover their procedurings for requesting wills. I have done much the same thing in Carroll County, and had no problem. It is unlikely in the extreme that your will will be online. You're going to have to do it the old-fashioned way and write for it. If Nathaniel died testate, there will be a will, and an executor/executrix. If he died intestate, there should be record of the administration of his estate. The family SHOULD have requested an administrator/trix to probate the estate. If he died intestate, then his assets (i.e. the estate) will have been inventoried and divided among his living heirs. It won't matter if he didn't approve of a marriage or not. HOWEVER, if he died testate (with a valid will presented to the court), his wishes will probably have been followed, and the will will state only what the decedent wanted. This address should get you started, at least. Didn't the California death record list parentage for Hiram? You should be able to google for Rockingham County resources online. You can request records on Nathaniel Wheat from the State Archives of NH. They have a wide range of information available. http://www.sos.nh.gov/archives/genealogy.html Sincerely, Constance
