He was born abt. 1844 in Bridgewater, Oneida, NY. ..My Thorn/e's have a Taylor connection too (I believe).-- I found the name, "Juda Taylor," written on the back of a family picture of a young girl, in an old (Thorn) family album. I recently found a tree (One World Tree at Ancestry ) that have these Thorn's and Hoags you mention and it also has Taylors.
