I doubt that my folks fit in your time frame; however, similar names and co-incidental places suggest I share my Galvin story: My great-grandmother Katherine Galvin was born in Aglish, County Kerry in February 1861 to Dennis Galvin and Ellen Welch. Dennis was the son of Timothy Galvin and Johanna Flaherty also from Aglish. In 1885 Katherine Galvin married Michael Brosnan in Newmarket, Rockingham County, NH. My grandmother, Mary Brosnan, was born in Newfields (next town over) in 1886. Micheal dies 1886; Kate in 1898 in Lawrence, Mass after a 2nd marriage to Andrew Foley also born Ireland. To my knowledge Kate came to the US around or before 1880 with at least one brother, other children of Dennis and Ellen Welch Galvin followed later. Any connections that you can think of?? Am also trying to document the birth of Patrick A(Augustine, I think) Fitzpatrick, son of Dennis Fitzpatrick and Bridget Egan born Kanturk, County Cork around 1861. Catholic family--Got any research suggestions for County Cork? Thanks.
