    3. The reference I think you're referring to is: The Tarleton FAmily by Charles William Tarleton pub. 1900. I couldn't find in there that Abigail Beal m. John Tarlton. All I found was that JOhn Tarlton 1828 - 1863 was the son of Elias and Ann Jenkins Yeaton Tarlton NOT Abby J. Yeaton as you wrote below (probably a typo). I just thought I'd clarify that point. Maybe the New Castle records have the rest of the information or the New CAstle Families book. 3. Thank you for catching my typo: yes, the mother of John TARLTON was "Ann" not "Abby"--ooops! Louise Tallman gives the following information about John TARLTON in her book, "New Castle Families" (under the page for his parents' family): Child #3 = John TARLTON, b. Sept 1828; d. May 4, 1863 - lost at sea off Nova Scotia. Married Abby A. Beals Louise cites as her sources "The Tarltons in New Hampshire and New Castle Records" If you have checked the TARLTON book, them she must have made the marriage linkage from NC town records. [We do know from her death record that Abigail BEAL was a Tarlton widow when she married John AMAZEEN in 1878] ~ Carolyn Depp ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol White" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 05, 2006 2:49 PM Subject: [NHROCKIN] Re: First marriage of Abigail BEAL > The reference I think you're referring to is: The Tarleton FAmily by > Charles William Tarleton pub. 1900.
