Surnames: Leavitt, Brown Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iQB.2ACE/760 Message Board Post: Rev. Francis Brown ( 1784-1820) from Chester, NH was the son of Benjamin Brown and Prudence Kelly. After Prudence died Benjamin married again and moved to North Yarmouth, Maine where his son was the minister. His second wife's name was Mary Leavitt and she died in North Yarmouth 13 Mar 1838. I have not been able to find a marriage for them but it must have been in Rockingham County because Rev. Francis says she assisted with his educational finances. I would like to find the marriage and possibly her parents.
Why don't you just type into your search engine, "Leavitt Family" or Leavitt Family History. There are numbers of records, and all have been documented. Descendant of Samuel Leavitt Baker and Ann Eliza Leavitt.
