Sue & list, Kingston, NH does have early vital records. There are 2 very good published sources: 1) The Vital Records of Kingston, NH, 1694-1994, by Judith A. Arseneault, pub 1995 by The Clearfield Co. (This book has 2 sections, before 1900, and after 1900. It is arranged alphabetically by event (b, m, d)). 2) Kingston, NH, Early Families, Patriots & Soldiers, by Kathleen E. Hosier, pub 1993 by Heritage Books. (This is one of the best recent genealogy books I have ever seen. The author is extreemly complete and includes sources throughout the book.) This book is available from Heritage Books on a CD with several other Rockingham County sources. However, there are NO Boyd's in either book! This doesn't mean that your William Boyd wasn't born there, only that there is no record of his birth there. I am always happy to do lookups in either book for anyone, just ask.
