I am seeking the parents of William O. Sides who was born, perhaps, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire ca. 1813. The 1860 Federal Census lists him as a resident of Groveland, Mass., age 47, born in NH. He married 1.) 18 july 1832, Elizabeth Burbank of Salem, Mass. and 2.) Mary E.(McCard) Perry, daughter of Sylvanus McCard of Montville, Me and widow of William Perry. According to one source his father was George Sides who came to Portsmouth from London, England, but according to Bradford, MA Vital Records to 1850 (record of second marriage), his parents were Samuel and Sarah Sides. The sources I have checkedsay he had 12 children with his first wife, the first eight of whom were born in NH. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
