Children of George Mace and Martha/Patty Smart presumably born Raymond, New Hampshire: i [dau] Mace, b c 1823 (of 5 & under 10 in 1830) prob. d. y. ii [dau] Mace, b c 1826 (under 5 in 1830); prob. d. y. iii [son] Mace, b c 1829 (under 5 in 1830); prob. d. y. iv George William Mace, b c 1832 Child of Elias Felker and Martha/Patty (Smart) Mace born presumably Nottingham, New Hampshire: 1. Jeremiah S(mart?). Felker, b 1838 Children of Jonathan West and Martha/Patty (Smart) Mace presumably Poplin, New Hampshire: 1. Rosanna West, b 13 December 1840; d pre 1850 2. Maria/Miriah J. West, b 12 March 1843 “twin”; m(1) pre 1860, Abraham Dearborn, separated, no div. found; m(2) Brentwood, New Hampshire, 1 January 1865, William Brown 3. Sarah West, b 12 March 1843 “twin”; d pre 1850 In the court records of Raymond, New Hampshire, March 1839, Martha Mace files a paternity suite against Elias Felker. It appear that the following happened. Martha/Patty (Smart) Mace was living in Brentwood, New Hampshire when she had an affair with Elias Felker resulting in the birth of Jeremiah S. Felker in early 1838, whom she named for her father. She later married (2) probably Nottingham, New Hampshire, 13 July 1840, Jonathan West of Poplin, New Hampshire, who requested reimbursement from the town of Raymond for the support of his wife's son (Jeremiah S. Felker). She married, while residing Poplin, (3) Raymond, New Hampshire, 27 September 1848, Joseph T. Miles of Brentwood, New Hampshire. Is this any help?
