I hope I have thanked individually each of those who have helped me, but in addition to one more thank you to all I'd like to mention that listmembers have provided me--overnight!-- with evidence of the death year I was seeking, and quite remarkably the reference for the death record which is in a wholly unexpected town under a minor misspelling of the name. The Massachusetts Registry of Vital Records and Statistics could not do that. Apparently this was too easy for you. I'll be back with something more challenging.
