    3. Why don't you just type into your search engine, "Leavitt Family" or Leavitt Family History. There are numbers of records, and all have been documented. Descendant of Samuel Leavitt Baker and Ann Eliza Leavitt. After Prudence died Benjamin married again and moved to North Yarmouth, Maine where his son was the minister. His second wife's name was Mary Leavitt and she died in North Yarmouth 13 Mar 1838. I have not been able to find a marriage for them but it must have been in Rockingham County because Rev. Francis says she assisted with his educational finances. I would like to find the marriage and possibly her parents.

    2. I have Samuel Fisher in Londonderry, born 1722 and married Agnes Wilson. Can you share any information on the Fisher's in Londonderry circa 1710-50? I also have an Anne Archibald who married William McKeen in Truro, N.S.. William was born 1745 so he's the right age range for your family group. Thanks for your time, and help. Colin Brooks

    3. Al, There isn't a grave for Susanna Martin, but there are two memorial stones dedicated to her. One is in Salem, Mass. and the other is where the Martin's house was in Amesbury. You can see the memorials online. Get the site: Notable Women Ancestors. Click on the alphabetical listing. Click on Martin, Susanna. This free land was made available due to the expulsion of the French Canadians ( Acadians ) in 1755. I am sure it is the same Eleanor as your inquiry ,since her siblings all had the same name. 3. Dear Deborah, I checked both the DAR patriot index and the Revolutionary War records on Heritage Quest, but I did not find any service records for your Daniel Shaw. However, I did find birth and marriage records for him in the Bridgewater VR. If you would like a copy of those, please let me know. And just because there is no listing for him in the DAR database does not mean he did not serve. It just means that no one so far has made an application as his descendant. And he may not have applied for a pension, nor did his widow, so there might not be records in the NARA.
