Hello, There are many towns in MA, especially in the western part of the state, that I have never heard of. And, I don't remember a town, "Cherry Valley." I just looked it up and it turns out it is a village within the Town of Leicester, MA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_Valley,_Massachusetts Leicester borders on Worcester. Another way to find out about towns in MA which might not actually be towns is to go to www.mass.gov There is a lot of information on that site. This is the page which lists villages and "unincorporated towns." http://www.sec.state.ma.us/cis/cisuno/unoidx.htm Oh, I just checked that page and it turns out there is another "Cherry Valley." It's in Ludlow, MA, which is in Hampshire County. Betty (near Lowell, MA) List Administrator

My great grandfather WOJCIECH BOBER (b. April 5, 1884) in Bialka, Rzeszow in Galicia (today's Poland). He settled in Newmarket, New Hampshire in 1902. He went by the name ALBERT BOBER and married KATARZYNA RAS. He had a sister, JULIA BOBER (b. approx. 1894) who also came to Newmarket, NH. She married and became Julia WOJNAR. Their known sons are Joseph and Stanley. There was also another sister I know of names APOLONIA Bober who married Maciej or Michael WINARSKA. Wojciech and Katazryna Bober eventually settled in Rhode Island. One of his sisters, it is believed, moved to Baltimore, Maryland and possibly Chicopee, MA. Wojciech's parents were JACOB or JACOBUS BOBER and ANIELA POTEHAJSKA or PODHAJECKA. Jacob's parents were Wojtechi BOBER and Katarzyna GASKA. Aniela's parents were Podhajecka and Theclae SOWA or ZOWA. My great grandmother, KATARZYNA RAS (b. July 10, 1886 in Korczyna) also settled in Newmarket, NH. It is believed there were 7 children in the family- 6 girls and one boy. One of their names was ANIELA RAS who came to Newmarket. There were many other Ras family members who immigrated to and lived in Newmarket, NH that I believe to be cousins or perhaps other siblings. Katazryna Ras' parents were FRANCISZEK RAS and ANNA GROCHMAL. We strongly believe that there are relatives who still live in this area. If you have connections to any of the following, I would very interested in connecting!: WOJCIECH/ ALBERT BOBER JULIA BOBER/ WOJNAR APOLONIA BOBER/ WINARSKI MACIEJ WIMIARSKA JACOB/ JACOBUS BOBER WOJTECHI BOBER JOANNES BOBER KATARZYNA GASKA ANIELA POTEHAJSKA/ PODHAJECKA JOZEF PODHAJECKA THECLAE SOWA/ ZOWA KATARZYNA RAS ANIELA RAS FRANCISZEK RAS ANNA GROCHMAL Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
