Hi list, Family Tree Maker also has GDMNH on cd. The cd also has Savage's four volumes and they call it the Genealogical Dictionary of New England (cd#169). I can't remember the price, but believe it was about $30.00. Link below gets you to the look up page to check price. You can search by name or keyword, if I remember correctly. It includes all lists from GDMNH and corrections pages. Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: Family Archive CDs Happy Hunting! Lianne Mitchell

Several months ago I received a catalog which offered the Genealogical Dictionary of Maine & New Hampshire by Noyes, Libby & Davis on a CD. It would be a great advantage to be able to do an electronic search for names since this book does not have an index. Unfortunately I misplaced the catalog. Does anyone know how I could order this CD of the GDMNH. Tom Sevy sevy99@deseretonline.com
Would anyone have any information on John Scriven/Scribner and Mary Hilton ? There is a John in Scriven who married Mary Hilton and died in Dover or Hampton in Oct 1675 . I am hoping to see if these are the parents of Elizabeth Scribner who married Samuel Eastman . Mary is reportedly the daughter of Edward Hilton. Any help is greatly appreciated . Mahalo , Kevin
Can anyone help me find the parents of Abigail MITCHELL who married William AYER of Plaistow, NH, Jan. 19, 1764 (Haverhill, MA, VR)? I suspect that she is the daughter of John MITCHELL and Abigail BACHELLER (m. bef. 1738, Haverhill VR). Can anyone confirm or eliminate this possibility? Haverhill VR shows Abigail Mitchel b. Sep. 6, 1746, d. John and Abigail (Bacheller) Mitchel. There are other Abigail Mitchells born in this time frame in the Haverhill VR, but they died young. Does anyone know Abigail Bacheller Mitchell's parents? The VR shows her marriage as her second marriage--apparently she was not born a Bacheller, but was a widow.
Gladys, Maybe I missed some other e-mails on Wrights Island near Seabrook. I see one located less than a half mile south of route 286 a little over half way between route 1 and the coast road 1A. Let me know if you want a copy of my map. Earl

Many of you know of the Periodical Source Index (PERSI). Searching PERSI, I came up with this item: Locality: U.S. States, New Hampshire, Rockingham Record type: Biography Article Title: Exeter Families to Rhode Island Periodical: New England Historical and Genealogical Register Volume: 98 Number: 1 (January 1944) I have searched the NEHGR vol 98 and can't find this item. It must be an error in their indexing system. I checked volumes before and after 98, still no luck. I checked the indexes, no luck. Does any reader know what/where this "Exeter families to Rhode Island" is? Since it was mis-indexed, it could very well be in a periodical other than the NEHGR. Does anyone know why Exeter, NH families would migrate to Rhode Island? I ask because I have a great-great grandmother Eliza Ann BATCHELDER 1811-1887. I can not confirm her parentage. She was orphaned at a young age and ended up in Garland, Maine married to Josiah BARTLETT 1813-1893. Family papers indicate she had uncles and aunts in New Hampshire, probably Rockingham county. --- John Clement, 6940 E. I have a copy of Hazlett I picked up for next to nothing a couple of years ago. As Dick suspected, it is predominantly a mug book, with some brief town/militia histories tucked in the front. I have never found anything of particular note or interest in it. If any feels really strongly, I'll transcribe the surnames for lookups. -- Dave Goudsward Harrisburg, PA NH: Lamos, Clay, Glover, Langmaide Dick Marston wrote: > > Please don't hate me for asking, but has anyone ever seen a copy of this > book or found it cited as a source for genealogical information?
