Hi list, Sorry to bother you again, but I have found my line up to Ephraim Brown & Mehitable Flanders. Was Ephraim Brown b in 1702 & m Mhitabe Brown in S. Hampton NH? That woud make him 50 years old and they had at least seven children. Or is Ephraim b. 1702 his father, and who did he marry? There seems to be a gap of one generation here. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could please help me. I have my Brown's followed back that far. Thank you in advance Gladys http://community.webtv.net/sassypup/GLADYSWEBPAGEABOUT
In reviewing my deceased mother's address book, I found the name of Diana Troth, RFD #2, Newmarket, NH 03857. I vaguely remember talking to this person a long time ago. My problem is that I only have the RFD #2 as an address and it is my understanding that with the 911 emergency system and the issuance of street numbers to everyone, that mail directed to RFD#2 is not deliverable. Therefore, can someone in the area check to see if there is a Diana or Diane Troth or Tothe listed with the Town Clerk in Newmarket? If that is not possible, can someone send me the name, address and telephone number for the Town Clerk? This is geneology since I am sure this person is a relative and I am now working on my family history. All suggestions and help will be appreciated. Should you know this person there is no problem giving my email address to her. Thanks, Ida Ransom
Hi rooters, I was recently in Plastow, NH looking for info and was told by the Town Clerk their early records were out being microfiched. I went to the Library there and it is tiny but the people there were very curtious, helpful and nice. They showed me a small cabinet of historical information and most of it can be found in most libraries. BUT, there was one document done by Priscilla Hammond of Concord NH in 1937. She complied a transcript of the "Vital Records of Plaistow, NH" from the Original record books 1726-1871 with the earliest and latest dates recorded 1652 and 1905. It is very informational and has a lot of the Haverhill District people listed. Here is the only page I copied but hope it might be of good info for someone: (I will type it the way it was in the book) Nathanael Knight and Abigail Merrill Married. Ruth Born August 19 1752. Abigail born february 20 1755. John Knight and Sarah Merrill Married. John Born october 24 1752. Abel Born March ye 1 1754. Nathanael Born April 1 1756. It helped me trying to find my Campbell. The Lydia KAMBAL is a 9th great aunt I was trying to locate for some time. I was able to verify this was infact she by other record research after discovering this location. This may lead me to more information about the other lost relatives from that same family as well. Wal-Mart sells a very nice Road Atlas of North America for about $4.00. There are also a number of Web Sites that provide this kind of information. Their addresses are frequently posted, and may be found by checking Cindy's List at: http://www.cyndislist.com/
