My great grandmother's death certificate, and my elderly aunt Florence, both say Cynthia Marion STEVENS was born in Thornton's Ferry, New Hampshire. Her marriage liscense says she was born in Manchester. I know Thornton's Ferry does not exist as a town, just a landmark on the map I think. I was told the land is part of Litchfield. Can anyone clear up the Thornton's Ferry story for me? Also, does anyone have information on Cynthia Marion STEVENS; b 19 Oct 1882; daughter of George Franklin STEVENS and Cynthia Anne BAMFORTH. She married Edward Everett HILLS on 10 Jun 1902 in Haverhill, Mass. I know nothing of George Franklin other than when he was elderly and living with his daughter in Haverhill, Mass. and that he was born in New Hampshire. All I know about Cynthia BAMFORTH is that both her parents immigrated from England and that she was born before the move. I made a trip to the Concord genealogy vault. There is no record of these people in the vault. I would imagine the records are out there somewhere. Any help with them would be greatly appreciated.
