Hi Priscilla, >From the History of Lyndeborough, NH I found the following on pg. 754: Maj. Daniel Gould, son of George and Mary (Giles)Gould, born at Salem, Mass. Nov. 26, 1749; married first, Dorcas Phelps. She was born 1749; died, April 6, 1797; married second, Mary, daughter of Jacob Hook of Kingston, NH. He died March 5, 1804. He owned the farm now known as the Richardson place at the center. He kept a tavern there for many years and all the children wee born there. We have no further record of this family except the dates of births of their children:- 1. Susanna, b. April 17, 1766. 2. Mehitable, b. Feb. 25, 1778. 3. Edy, b. Dec. 29, 1779. 4. Jared, b. March 16, 1782. 5. Daniel, b. March 19, 1784. 6. George, b. Jan 22, 1788, d. Nov 17, 1804. 7. Jacob S., b. Aug 21, 1793. The previous page gives data on George as the son of Thomas and Abigail (Needham) Gould, b. 1706 at Salem, m. 20 Apr 1732 Mary Giles, probably of Salem. She b. 1710 and d. 2 Mar 1797 at Lyndeborough. He d. same 29 Apr 1783. They had eight children all born at Salem, Mass. George was descended from Zaccheus. We believe my husband's ancestry is from Gould's in the Greenfield NH area, which is next door to Lyndeborough. I am interested in any information on the Edy Gould given above. Our known ancestor is: EDWARD R GOULD was born 18 Mar 1861 in Knoxville, TN (Source: Date: Grave Marker in Greenfield, NH Loc: Birth/Marriage Certificates for Elmer Gould), and died 22 Aug 1896 (GS) in Hillsboro/Hillsborough, NH (Source: NHVR). He married BELLE STARRETT 10 Oct 1882 (Source: NHVR), daughter of DAVID STARRETT and SARAH BIXBY. They are buried in Greenfield, NH where Edward lived when he came to Hillsboro and married Belle. He was in 1891, Listed as Conductor B&M RR, residing at Hillsboro Bridge. Children of EDWARD GOULD and BELLE STARRETT are: i. WALTER F. GOULD, b. 28 May 1886, Wilton, NH; d. Bef. 1923. ii. DAVID H.
