Daniel Gould and his wife Dorcas were the parents of my Daniel Gould and his wife, Sarah Clark, so for you now to tell me that Dorcas was a Phelps is an important addition. The stone was "Erected in memory of Mrs. Eda Gould Conex, wife of Daniel Conex, dau. of Maj. Daniel Gould & Dorcas, his wife, who died Oct. 2, 1811, the 33rd year of her age" (Eda is a name that was passed on to my great grandmother too.)
