Hi -- Looking for information on my granddaughters' ancestor, Jacob Smith -- History of Oxford, Mass., by George F. Daniels [Oxford 1892], page 696: "Jacob, of Deering, N.H., m. 1 Aug. 1791, Ruth, dau. of John Larned, owned from 1791 to 1793 the Lyman Wetherell farm, H. 68, removed from town. . . Children: Polly T., b. 26 Jan., 1792; Miriam, b. 21 July, 1794." His wife, Ruth Larned was b. 7 Aug 1769, and was killed at or near Oxford, Mass. 1798.
