My husband descends from William BUTTERFIELD, born 1780-1790, and Lavinia CASE, born 1780-1790. They lived in Washington, Sullivan Co. NH, Society Land, Hillsborough Co. NH, and Antrim, Hillsborough NH. Lavinia died in 1836 and William supposedly remarried, but I don't know when or to whom. He supposedly moved to MA, possibly to the Wayland area of Middlesex Co. MA. He may have followed his son John Calvin BUTTERFIELD or his daughter Ascenathe (BUTTERFIELD) GREEN, who did move there. William & Lavinia had the following children: Chandler b. 1812 m. Naomi D. Robinson Luther b. 1814 John Calvin b. 1818 Ascenath b. 1817 or 1820 m.
