The following persons died, mostly by this disease, during the course of the year: . . . Caleb Blood, Feb. 23; . . . Such a fearful mortality the town had never before experienced, nor was the cause of the fever ever satisfactorily determined. Sybil, widow of Capt. Oliver Cummings, who died Dec. 16, the preceding year, was the first victim of th disease. Though many were sick with this fever in Tyngsborough at the time, the whole of them recovered.
