Jorge and Vickie, I, also am researching Woods. My descent is from Samuel. This is what I think I know: 1. Alice Wood, b. 20 Aug 1732 in Groton, married Benjamin Parker 8 Jan 1752, and died 13 Nov 1816 in Hollis, NH. She was the daughter of: 2. John Wood, b. 3 Mar 1698 in Groton, married Sarah Longley 3 Jun 1725 in Groton, and died 7 May 1782 in groton. He was the son of: 3. Nathaniel Wood, b. 27 Mar 1667/68 in Groton, married Eleanor (?) bef. 1694, and died 20 Jun 1738 in Groton. He was the son of: 4. Samuel Wood, b. abt 1636 (possibly) in Watertown, married Alice Rushton 28 Sep 1659 in Cambridge, and died abt 1717 in Groton. He was the son of: 5. Unknown Vickie, this appears to be your line, also. Can you fill in any gaps, i.e., Nathaniel's wife, the parents of Alice Rushton? I do have information about the Longleys if that is of interest. Would love to hear more, Gordon Kirkemo >______________________________X-Message: #4 >Date: Wed, 21 Oct 1998 21:42:56 EDT >From: VEWhite@aol.com >To: NHHILLSB-L@rootsweb.com >Message-ID: <68a24ab9.362e8da0@aol.com> >Subject: Re: [NHHILLSB-L] WOODS >Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII >Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit > >Jorge Woods wrote -- > ><< Anyone researching the surname WOODS in New Hampshire? >> > >Yep, I am. <G> My husband descends from Samuel WOODS who >was in Cambridge MA in 1659.
