I am looking for parents, etc., of Jacob Smith -- here is what I know: History of Oxford, Mass., by George F. Daniels [Oxford 1892], page 696: "Jacob, of Deering, N.H., m. 1 Aug. 1791, Ruth, dau. of John Larned, owned from 1791 to 1793 the Lyman Wetherell farm, H. 68, removed from town. . . Children: Polly T., b. 26 Jan., 1792; Miriam, b. 21 July, 1794." [Ruth also is found in the Learned Genealogy, as No. 134, page 58]. Two of my granddaughters are descended from Miriam -- and it would be a shame not to fill this gap in their ancestry! All clues appreciated. Harman Clark P.O.
