Hi, I am just starting to research my family tree, and who knows maybe some of my relatives are receiving this! My father (now deceased) was born and raised in the West Stewartstown/Pittsburg area of NH. My dad was Ernest Robert Lapoint. His parents were Ernest Henry Lapoint and Edith (sorry don't know her maiden name yet). My dad was born in 1929, his mom was born in 1896, so I assume my grandfather was born about the same time. There were 5 chilcren in my fathers family: Richard, Barbara (Brown, Webster), Leta (Nadeau), Ernestine (Chase, Colcord) and my dad. Both of my grandparents are buried in Pittsburg. My dad moved me and my mom to southern New Hampshire about 1962. My fathers nicknames were Red and Ernie. I still have several cousins living in Pittsburg. I plan to contact one or two of them to see if they have any family information, as I live in Florida now and looking up information is difficult for NH.
