Am trying to verify birth of great great grandfather, John Dane Holt, son of Ezra Holt, Jr. & Dolly B. Gould. From family records, he was born Jan.25, 1843 or 1844 in Amherst or Milford, NH. I have written to Vital Records in Concord & Town Clerks in both of the towns - all to no avail. I also have the same situation with his death which occurred either July or August 28, 1872 in Milford. His wife was Emily Frances Lane (known as Fanny) born in Wilton on August 5, 1848 and died either July or August 8, 1873. Fanny was the daughter of William Lane & Emily Wilson.
