Janet, What I can offer is a bit early for your Stephen and Daniel, but it might provide a helpful lead. I have copies of pages from "The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts" by David W. Hoyt that references a number of Bartletts (pps 54-59). On page 57, #11 is Richard Bartlett (Richard2, Richard1), and he has two sons (among others) named Daniel (b.8 Aug 1682) and Stephen (b. 21 Apr 1691). The names Daniel and Stephen do not appear elsewhere. Naming patterns sometimes provide a useful clue for tracking ancestors, and people from the Salisbury/Amesbury area did migrate to NH. You might want to look there for a connection. Just a thought. I hope it helps. Good luck.
