Hi everyone, First time posting to this list. My interest are the family of Abraham Holden. According to his Rev. War pension papers he was born July 10, 1762. This does coincide (but not proven) with the family of Thomas and Ruth (Baker) Holden from Worcester County, MA. In 1776 he enlisted (young lad of 14) as a fifer in the Rev. War in Haverhill, Grafton County,NH. In 1780/81 he listed his residence as Hancock, Hillsborough County, NH. He is listed in the 1790 (1 male 16 & up; 2 male 16 & under; 3 females), 1800 (1 male under 10; 1 male 16 & under 25; 1 male 26 & under 45; 4 females under 10; 3 females 10 & under 16; 1 female 26 & under 45), and 1810 (I don't have this one yet) census in Loudon, Merrimack County, NH. After living in Loudon, NH for 20/30 years he lived in Leicester, Addison County, Vermont (except for a short time in Ticonderago, Essex County, NH in 1840). He died February 12, 1845 in Leicester, VT. I have only been able to find one child for Abraham, that is Aaron b: abt. 1805 in New Hampshire. Loudon town clerk has no record for Aaron. Aaron also lived in Leceister, VT, where he married (1st) Nov. 11, 1826 - Orpha Whitmore; (2nd) abt. 1847 -Sarah Huntley. Of these unions there were born: Sallie Sofia Holden - abt. 1827 Nathan Austin Holden - abt. 1828 Josephus Nelson Holden - January 25, 1830 Earl Douglas Holden - abt. 1831 Charlotte Marie Holden - abt. 1834 Elbra Elizabeth Holden - October 02, 1835 Orpha Adeline Holden - May 30, 1841 Olive Julianna Holden - abt. 1842 Betsey J. Holden - abt. 1848 Abraham Austin Holden - January 20, 1851 Rose Matilda Holden - abt. 1852 Sarah Abbie Holden - July 16, 1856 Ida M. Holden - January 13, 1859 Jennie Holden - November 20, 1861 William A. Holden - abt. 1863 I'm posting this in the hopes someone has additional information on my Abraham.
