Dear Mimi, Yes there is a History of New Ipswich 1735 - 1914 by Charles Henry Chandler published in 1914. I believe that in order for a family to be mentioned, they I have lived in New Ipswich for 2 generations. I do have a copy of this book and in it there is one Joseph Stevens listed, parents are not mentioned but he married Abigail Knowlton, daughter of Benjamin Knowlton and Abigail Wright, she was born 25 June 1777 and died 19 Dec 1864, married Joseph 10 Feb 1795, he died 1 Dec 1846 and it states they had 13 children but there is no mention of any names. I don't know if any of this information is helpful to you or not but it is about all there is in this book.
