My ggrandfather, George Albert FORD was b April 30, 1845 in Hillsboro, NH. A sister Emma was b abt 1843. Their father was William FORD. Previously thought their mother was Sarah Ann ORNE b/c William and Sarah married in 1840. However, I just this week received a death certificate of Emma and it lists her mother as Lucy OLMSTEAD. Now I wonder if perhaps Sarah died early in the marriage and William married Lucy. By 1850, George & Emma were supposedly orphans and being raised by their paternal grandmother who we thought might have been named MUGFORD or MUMFORD. By 1852, the children were suppposedly "adopted" by a family was named Chapman. Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone???
