Hello Everyone, I found the following link to "Prologue" a quarterly pub of NARA. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I have transcribed & posted the 1775 Census for Temple, NH (from Blood's History cited on the page). *Note: Though there is a catagory called "Negroes and Slaves for life", the number of negroes & slaves for life = 0. The catagory was used, rather, to report "Guns" and "Powd'r". Ann's Temple, NH Genealogy & History http://home.att.net/~mensch-family/Temple-NH.htm I think it is an interesting 4th of July bit of Trivia. Also, I took the photographs used on this page July 4, 1997. Thank you. Hello Everyone, I just updated my new GenWeb Page for Hollis, HILLSBORO, NH. It now contains the biographical sketches for many early settlers from: Worcester, Samuel T., "History of the Town of Hollis, New Hampshire From Its First Settlement to the Year 1879 with many Biographical Sketches of It's Early Settlers, Their Descendants, & Other Residents", (1879), Boston: A. Williams & Co. Visit it at http://home.att.net/~mensch-family/HollisNH.htm Hollis is in the area called "Old Dunstable" in Middlesex County, MA (prior to the settlement of the boundary disputes between NH & MA I believe in 1749). Many of the early settlers were originally from Massachusetts towns:Groton, Salem, Billerica, Newbury & Concord being some of the most common. --Ann
I have my first shot at an obit archive posted at: http://www.ultranet.com/~smack/obits.html I fooled around with this a bit and decided to try listing them by newspaper date and then alphabetically under the date. I am open to any suggestions on the format/layout. I had considered putting the list in alphabetical order disregarding the paper dates, but I thought that the date was important if you wanted to find the obit later. If you have access to a newspaper from Hillsborough Co. and would like to post obituaries to the list, I'll add them to the archive. Steve
