    1. [NHHILLSB] Looking for Fraziers.......in Richmond, NH and possibly Peterborough area
    2. Cynthia
    3. Searching for : Henry Frazier who migrated from "Canada" between 1860-1870........his wife's name was Lizzie OR Marie . Henry died in Richmond,NH Jan or June 1892 age 66 years.....and said to be buried in RIchmond. [this comes from his death certificate] Lizzie.....this name came off from Alfred-2 marriage certificate.......but on the other hand I have a Marie Frazier who died in Richmond,NH OCt 21,1884...born in Canada.......now, Marie could be Henry-1 sister not wife......at this point I dont know which one. They had 2 sons that I know of: [ there may be others] Alfred-2 born in 1866-1867 probably in Canada: married Nellie Goodnow/Goodnough of Richmond,NH .......in Troy,NH 1891. They lived in Troy ,NH....on census of Troy 1900-1920. and the census states they were on Water Street in 1910. Henry-2 born about 1868-1870: married a Mary Woods. They lived in Troy1910-1920 on West HIll Road......[ info from census'] Now, I understand that there was a migration from Canada that ended up in Peterborough as there was a need for workers for the mills there at the time..........Henry-1 could have worked and lived in Peterbrough but lived in Richmond later on with his son ? Does anyone have a 1870 census for Hillsboro County and Cheshire County.......? Any help and/or suggestions appreciated. Thanks Cynthia

    3. Our Sunday newspaper today included a special section titled " Looking back on 1,000 years of Florida History". It is a 24 page compilation and time line of the history of events in Florida. I would interested in obtaining copies of something similar from other states. If anyone has something like this in their newspapers this weekend or in the coming week, I'd be happy to pay for the cost of the paper and the cost of shipping. The states that I'm interested in are: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me. Linda (researching various surnames in all of the above states)

A., 1877. p. 165-166 The spotted fever, fastening on the robust and strong as well as on the weak and feeble, proved very fatal during the year 1813. The following persons died, mostly by this disease, during the course of the year: . . . Caleb Blood, Feb. 23; . . . Such a fearful mortality the town had never before experienced, nor was the cause of the fever ever satisfactorily determined. Sybil, widow of Capt. Oliver Cummings, who died Dec. 16, the preceding year, was the first victim of th disease. Though many were sick with this fever in Tyngsborough at the time, the whole of them recovered. Don't know if this is your Caleb Blood, but . . . p. 269 Sarah, widow of Caleb Blood, d. Feb. 6, 1814; Rebeckah, dau. of Caleb Blood, d. Mar. 24, 1816; Hope this helps, Happy Hunting, Karen Texas

    3. Greetings, all. I'm looking for parentage and any other data for two people, both of whom were on the NH/MA border near Dunstable around 1800. The MA vital records don't seem to turn up anything; I'd be grateful to know whether there is anything available in the NH VRs. I have found nothing in GENDEX or FamilySearch.com. The people are: Rebecca HOPKINS, d 11 May 1810, of Dunstable (vicinity). She m Caleb BLOOD 20 Apr 1775, s of Josiah and Sarah (FARLEY) BLOOD. Caleb was b 21 May 1752 at Hollis, NH, and d 23 Feb 1813 at Dunstable. Ruth SEARLES, born say 1815, at Dunstable MA or perhaps across the line in what is now New Hampshire. She m. Charles TURRELL who was b 12 Aug 1813 and d 18 Aug 1858. Many thanks. Bob O'Hara (rjohara@uncg.edu)

    2. Hi all - I'm new to the list and wanted to post my lines. Most of my NH lines are in Rockingham Co., but a few wandered over into Hillsborough. So here we go. Generation #4 made the move from Haverhill to Goffstown. HADLEY: The HADLEY group I am just finding out about, thanks to helpful listers Gregg Kinney and Clark Bagnall. (1) George HADLEY and Jane PROCTOR (2) Samuel HADLEY andJane MARTIN (3) Joseph HADLEY and Hannah FLANDERS (4) Joseph Hadley and Martha GILE (5) Ebenezer HADLEY and Hannah EASTMAN (6) Betsey above with David EATON RICHARDSON: This line started with Samuel of the original 3 RICHARDSON brothers in Woburn, MA.(1) Samuel RICHARDSON (1610-1658) and Joanna (2) Samuel RICHARDSON (1646-1712) and Sarah HAYWARD (3) Jonathan RICHARDSON (1696-1759) and Abigail WYMAN (4) Jonathan RICHARDSON (1729/30-1798) and Phebe WHITTEMORE (5) Matthew RICHARDSON (1818-bef. 1765) and Abigail EATON (daughter of James Eaton and Abigail Emerson) (6) Paige RICHARDSON (1791-1863) and Betsey EATON. 3. This may be slightly off subject, but I'm looking for information regarding the above cited journal. I received a flyer from NEHGS regarding upcoming tours. The brief bios indicated several of the experts had been associated with the subject journal. I have not seen one in my travels, and I'm wondering whether it is a good resource. If so, I'm curious to know how long its been printed and what kinds of information it provides. If someone can fill me in, I'd appreciate it. Perhaps there is a website that might be useful? Gordon

    2. Sandy St. Martin
    3. I am seeking information and William and Mary Whiting of Merrimack. Their daughter, Ruth Sophia Whiting Johnson Carkin was said [death certificate] to have been born in Merrimack in 1805. The record is not there. However, two children were born to William and Mary at Merrimack, William and Asa Thomson, in 1811 & 1812. Inventory and tax lists from the town records show that the Whitings appeared in Merrimack in 1805. I have no idea how this William was connected to the other Whitings and I don't know who Mary was. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks! 3. I live in So. Sutton, NH. Where in Concord are the vital records kept? How far back do they go? I need to get into the 1600's in the Hampton area. Found the cemetary where Robert Smith and wife are buried. Just wondering if the death certificate would have his parents on it. He was b in 1612 in England and his wifeSusanna? was b abt 1614 in Eng. He died Aug 30, 1706 in Hampton, NH. She was killed by lightening on June 12 1680 in Hampton, NH. I guess I am just plain lucky to find Smith that far back. TIA Dot

    2. Vital records office is in the lower level of the Health and Human Services bldg. which is located in the State office park on Hazen Dr. This is just off Rte. 9 on the Portsmouth Rd. About 2 miles east of Rt. 93 in Concord. There are no signs as to the Vital Records. , but just go in to the HHS bldg. which is Number 6 Hazen Dr. (about a half mile on the left.) Good luck, Bill Curtis
