Posted on: Hillsborough County, New Hampshire Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NH/Hillsboro?read=893 Surname: Flint, Morse, Holt ------------------------- I have Ebenezer Flint who d. 29 Apr 1829, Wilton, Hillsborough Co., NH his wife was Assenath Holt. They were married in Reading MA. They had a daughter named Phebe(b. 1782) and one of their sons, Amos named a daugher Phebe. So a possibility for your Phebe is that she was a sibling of Ebenezer.
Hi Loretta, The Ellen Barr age 9 is from my family but on looking a little closer at the other children, they all either moved away or the girls married. There should be a sister of Ellen's, Caroline Francis age abt 15 and possibly an aunt of Ellen's, Robena age abt 51. They may have been elsewhere in the state or with family in another state at the time of the census. Thank you very much for checking for me. Oh, I almost forgot, the 42 year old female Abby, is her last name Barr?? Thanks again, Dottie BARR Hinrichs BEEZES@aol.com wrote: > > Dottie: > The only BARR in New Ipswich is as follows: > > 1850 New Ipswich, Hillsborough, NH > Family #208 > Clark H. Dottie: On the 42 yr old Abby, there were "ditto" marks where her last name should be and she was directly under Ellen BARR, so I "think" she had the last name of BARR. You never know with these census takers!! I'll let you know if I run across Caroline Francis and Robena. Loretta B. IBSSG
Dear Loretta, Do you have an index for this census to make the look ups easier?? If you do, I would like to know what information there is on Barr in New Ipswich. Thank you, Dottie BEEZES@aol.com wrote: > > I currently have the 1850 Census for New Hampshire. If you need a look-up, > please let me know. > > Loretta B. > IBSSG

Loretta, Would you look to see if you have any MURRAY's. I've been looking for Leonard MURRAY for a couple of years and cannot find out where he came from (other than a space ship!) He married Luretta Cary (Carey). Thanks in Advance Debbie Cox Idaho
Loretta, I need a lookup if you don't mind -- I'm looking for a Dorcas Peavey Pratt Sheldon -- husband would be William Sheldon. Probably in Wilton, NH or Temple, NH. I am also looking for Augusta Dorcas Pratt, married to Ashby Morgan -- same areas as the above. I appreciate the lookup and any info you can send me if you find them in the census. Hi Loretta, I realize that this may be too big a job, but would appreciate it if you would look up the name PEMBERTON. If there are too many, please just disregard my request. Hi Loretta, Would you please check to see if there is a John Keyes and wife, Lucinda (Kimball)? I do know they were in New Ipswich, Hillsboro, NH in 1874, when their daughter, Eva Maria Keyes was born in 1874. They also had a son, Frank Keyes. I have no information on them, other than their names. Thanks for any help you may be. Does anyone have access to marriage records of Hillsborough county, in the 1810-1818 range? Samuel PRINCE [1790-1867] was my ggggrandfather. Born in Hillsboro, he married within that 1810-1818 time period. Can anyone supply the name of his wife? This is one of my enduring "brick walls;" any data or clues will be most gratefully received! Thanks so much for forwarding this! Now, if I can just ascertain whether or not this is "my" Betsey McNeill. She would be getting a little old (45 yr.) when her daughter was born, but of course that's not "impossibly old". Hi Diane: Well, if you discover your Betsey is related to Daniel, just let me know & I'll send what I have--or where I've looked! Regards, Dianne (from Calif.)
Although I don't list Betsey specifically in my own McNeil records (my McNeil's are from Rockingham then later Hillsborough Co., NH), I see in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly pg. 74 (and I do not know the date of the issue--it was just a page copy that someone gave me)--that there is a Betsey McNeill b. 31 Oct 1783. The record (Bible Record) says Daniel McNeill b. New Boston, NH in 1753 m. Sarah ---- Mar. 1781. He d. Feb 3, 1829 in Crawford Co., PA. Hi Elsie, There is a Gibson family that lived in Antrim, N.H. in the mid 1800's. My ancestor John Curtis; son of Jacob Curtis of Amherst and Mt. Vernon married Mildred Gibson and they lived in Windsor, N.H. which is adjacent to Antrim and Hillsboro. I don't know if there is a relationship but the name is common in those towns. Bill Curtis; Newton, N.H.
I'm looking for info on any of the following: Betsey McNeil who married Priam Orn(e). They lived in NH (probably Sullivan or Hillsborough Co.) and had a daughter Sarah Orn(e) on Sept. 25, 1828. Sarah married William Ford (b. Feb 18 1820) in Sullivan Co. on Jul 1, 1840. William and Sarah had a son George Albert (1845-1914) b. Hillsborough Co. and a daughter Emma (1849-1921).
