It is with broken hearts that the family of the late MILDRED BYRD of Terrencevile announces her passing. Mildred passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 66. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Albert of 48 years; sons, Kevin (Nancy) Byrd and Albert Byrd (Trudy Rideout); daughters, Sheila (Colin) Hoskins, and Mercedes Byrde (Mike Plotsky); grandchildren, Melaine, Colin, Dylan, Ellen, Alex, Kira, Cordelle, and Jacqueline; sisters, Elizabeth (Fred) Pierce, and Sheila (Bernard) Smith; brothers, William (Pam) Hickey, and Cyril (Trudy) Hickey; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, William & Julia Hickey; and sisters, Barbara McCarthy and Zita Byrd. The Byrd Family will be accepting visitors at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Terrenceville on Thursday, August 23rd beginning at 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Terrenceville, on Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Terrenceville. In Mildred’s memory, donations may be made to The Byrd Family.
