Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland she was a daughter of the late Harrison & Florizel (Peddle) Mercer. She is survived by her husband Randy, daughter Rosalind Steed, grandchildren, Javon, Jakeele and Tyvasia, great granddaughter Kailaya, a sister Jean Batten and brother, Gerald. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister Geraldine and brothers George, Sidney, Garfield and David.
