Passed peacefully away, on Friday, June 22, 2018, at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin NL, DONALD JOHN "BUTCH" BRAKE, of Creston South, in his 64th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Sandy, Son Ryan (Tara), Creston: brothers Randall (Delores), Mooring Cove, Benedict Brake (Theresa), Valley, NS, Bernard Brake (Bertha), Port Au Port, Norbert Brake (Barbara), Mooring Cove, sisters Bernadette Snook (Charles), Harbour Breton, Doreen Lundrigan, Mooring Cove, Esther Bussey, Spanish Room, Bertilla Brake, St. John’s, Father and Mother in law Maisie and John Davis, brothers in law Roger Davis, Vancouver, BC, and Dwayne Davis (Kristie), Labrador City, grandmother in law Frances Kearley, Grand Falls-Windsor; and a large circle of extended family and friends. Butch is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Angela Brake, grandson Arrow, and brothers in law John Lundrigan and Bernard Brake. Resting and visitation will take place from Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, from 2 pm – 9 pm and Sunday, June 24, from 2 – 9 pm. As per Butch’s request, cremation will follow. Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Monday, July 02, 2018 at 11:00 am.
